The Arrecife City Council has authorized the extension of the opening hours of all recreational activity establishments during the celebration of the San Ginés 2016 Patron Saint Festivities, which begin this weekend and will extend until August 25. This authorization, valid from this Friday, means that they may remain open one hour longer than the established schedule according to their classification.
For Carmen Delgado Sepúlveda, councilor responsible for Classified Activities, "the patron saint festivities generate an important economic movement in the city and bars, nightclubs, restaurants, etcetera, play a very important role in this sense. Therefore, according to the Law of Classified Activities and Public Spectacles, the city councils can authorize the extension of the schedules"
Likewise, the mayor appeals to "responsible consumption" and calls for prudence and civility "so that they are quiet parties that we can all enjoy."
