Last Thursday, at the headquarters of the César Manrique Foundation, the exhibition "Writing Life" was inaugurated, dedicated to the Lanzarote writer Leandro Perdomo Spínola.

The opening ceremony, by the director of the Foundation, José Juan Ramírez, included speeches by the director of activities, Fernando Goméz Aguilera, and Leandro Perdomo's daughter, Alejandra. They all agreed that this exhibition will contribute to publicizing the character and his work.

This exhibition coincides with the 20th anniversary of his death, and includes a series of personal objects, photographs, original furniture, letters, articles and audiovisual documents in the same space that housed the exhibition dedicated to César Manrique "The Workshop of Dreams".

Leandro Perdomo Spínola, was born in Arrecife in 1921 and died in Teguise in 1993, journalist and writer developed his professional career in Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Belgium. Without a doubt, this is a good opportunity to get to know the figure of one of the most unique literary personalities of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands.

The inauguration was attended by some of his children, grandchildren and nephews, as well as personalities from the social, cultural and political world of the island. The exhibition can be visited in the (Taro de Tahíche) until April 20, 2014 in morning and afternoon hours with free admission.
