The government group of the Cabildo of Lanzarote has highlighted the "commendable" gesture of the labor and official personnel of the Island Corporation, who have decided to formally renounce their Christmas baskets through several documents in which they request that the funds that were going to be used for the bonus be used on this occasion for social purposes, as explained by the Councilor for Human Resources and Internal Regime, Andrés Stinga.
In this way, the employees of the first institution have requested that food be acquired for social canteens, as well as toys for children from vulnerable families or at risk of social exclusion. Funds will also be donated to humanitarian entities with a presence on the Island.
President María Dolores Corujo praises the gesture of the public workers, "who have once again demonstrated their generosity and solidarity in these special dates, remembering those who are having the worst time in these difficult moments that we are experiencing."
