Televisión Española de Canarias broadcasts its emblematic program Tenderete from Playa Blanca

Tenderete will be dedicated to the Janubio Band, a folk group created in 1986 by a group of residents of Las Breñas and La Hoya, cradle of the popular poet and author of numerous seguidillas Víctor Fernández Gopar. The Janubio Band will receive during this TVE-C program a special recognition from the Yaiza City Council for its XX anniversary.

Along with the Janunio Band, the famous group Los Campesinos de Lanzarote will also perform, as one of the most unique exponents of the folklore of this island. The recording of the Tenderete program will begin at 9 p.m. next to the Castillo de Las Coloradas or Torre del Águila and the exteriors of the Gran Meliá Volcán Lanzarote Hotel, in Playa Blanca.

From the southern City Council, they are calling for those residents who wish to attend to witness the performances and recording. As is known, TVE in the Canary Islands already recorded another Tenderete program a few years ago in the Plaza de Los Remedios, in Yaiza.
