The Youth Department of the Teguise City Council will launch the initiative "Teguise, the musical", whose rehearsals will be coordinated by the stage director Rubén Azpiazu, starting next month. This idea will start next January 2013, when the musical show will take place. However, the interpretation school is now open for a small group that is still in time to certify their registration.
According to Daniel Morales, Councilor for Youth, young people who want to participate in this amateur musical have until September 26 to register at the Teguise City Council, where applications are already being received. "We try to get young people involved in our leisure program, and not just as spectators," said Morales.
Registration can only be done by young people between 14 and 30 years of age. For the mayor, Oswaldo Betancort, this is a new entertainment and training proposal that "is born from the originality and demand of young people, without budgetary requirements."
