The Youth area of the Teguise City Council is looking for young people between the ages of 14 and 30 to perform a children's and youth musical based on the theme of the Hunchback of Notre Dame. The musical will premiere for all audiences in the Municipal Tent on January 4 at 8:00 p.m. In addition, on January 5 at 6:00 p.m. there will be a second session before the Three Kings parade.
The director of the musical will be Rubén Aspiazu, who is already working to set up the dance and performance group. In this musical, all artistic disciplines have a place, from singing, dancing, acrobatics, gymnastics to juggling or magic.
"The rehearsals will be on weekends so as not to disrupt the routine of the young people, and they can participate without forgetting their studies or chores," said the head of the area, Daniel Morales. For his part, the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, has assured that "any municipal initiative that works for the benefit of young people is very positive, and if the objective is to offer them multiple leisure and training alternatives." "This type of artistic project will undoubtedly contribute to the integration and participation of young people in the cultural life of the municipality," he insisted.
