The Teguise City Council is beginning to materialize the cultural headquarters project in the building located on Garajonay Street in the Historic Site of the Villa with the aim of allocating it to the municipal cultural associations that require it.
The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, is pleased "by the start of the adaptation works of the premises for cultural groups, which represents a further step in the materialization of all those projects demanded by Teguise from the Cabildo of Lanzarote since the previous legislature and that are now taking shape through the European funds that correspond to us", the mayor stated.
"It is good news for Teguise that the social and cultural groups of the municipality have a network of infrastructures and meeting points that contribute to the development of their activity", added Betancort.
In this case, the project has been co-financed by the Regional Development Fund within the framework of the Conurban Azul Sustainable Urban Development Strategy, with an estimated contract value of 115,241 euros and an execution period of 10 months.
