After several hot days that left records of up to 38 degrees, Lanzarote and La Graciosa face this Sunday, September 21, with a thermal respite. The day will begin partly cloudy or clear, although cloudy intervals are expected in the north and east during the afternoon. The slight haze that still persists will dissipate as the day progresses.
Temperatures will experience a moderate decrease, more pronounced in the maximums, which could be locally notable. The wind will blow light to moderate from the north, turning to moderate from the northeast during the afternoon.
Looking ahead to Monday the 22nd, the forecast points to cloudy intervals, with cloudier skies in the north at the first and last hours, and a predominance of partly cloudy weather in the south. The minimums will remain unchanged or slightly decrease, while the maximums will continue to fall. The wind will blow moderately from the northeast, with intervals of strong in the second half of the day, especially in the southern interior.
