The Canary wrestling is in mourning in Lanzarote for the death of Sindo Álvarez. Álvarez died this Tuesday at the age of 66 in Gran Canaria where he was urgently transferred.
Those who knew him say that he was a fighter who was always difficult to knock down in the arena.
Sindo Álvarez, who recently retired from Comercial Yayo where he worked for several decades, was a good fighter from a historic club like Tao with which he won several championships and leagues.
Sindo is the uncle of the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo.
