Segundo Manchado Peñate passed away this Thursday at the age of 84. Manchado, well known on the island, was born in Gran Canaria but lived in Lanzarote from a very young age, where he was an official in the Arrecife City Council.
He also had a great passion for music, which led him to found the musical group Hobby-6 in 1985, with which he published several albums.
Deeply rooted in island society, his death leaves behind his widow, Irene Toledo, and three children, Jaime, Irene (Titi) and Mabel.
The wake will be installed this Friday, November 11, from 5:00 p.m. at Alianza Canaria and the mass will be on Saturday in the San Ginés church at 11:00 a.m.
