The Ministry of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, headed by Migdalia Machín, has published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands this Tuesday the second definitive list that has been analyzed by the Scholarship Selection Committee corresponding to students from universities outside the Canary Islands.
From the second list of scholarships for students in non-Canarian universities, 154 of the total applications have been granted, with a budget amounting to 526,493.92 euros. Of this amount, 236,250 euros correspond to accommodation expenses, 92,955.50 euros to transport, 74,800 euros as compensatory aid, 2,700 for disability aid and 119,788.42 for the payment of fees.
In the next few days, the third and last provisional list of study grants will be published in the BOC, thus concluding the Scholarship Commission's analysis of all applications submitted.
These scholarships are intended to cover the expenses derived from the payment of public prices for tuition, transport and residence of university higher education, for people residing in the Canary Islands, who are pursuing university studies in public centers during the 2023/2024 academic year and do not meet the requirements to be beneficiaries of all or some of the modalities of university scholarships called by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
