Salvamar rescues a boat with 57 migrants near Lanzarote

Among them 10 women, one of them pregnant, and two children

Maritime Rescue has rescued this Thursday afternoon a boat with 57 migrants southeast of Lanzarote, according to the Emergency Consortium.

They have been transferred to the Commercial dock where they disembarked at 7:36 p.m. Among the occupants there are 45 men, 10 women, one of them pregnant and two children. All are of sub-Saharan origin.

The Red Cross has provided humanitarian assistance to them at the dock and it has not been necessary to transfer any of the people to Molina Orosa.
