This Thursday, November 20, Remedios Bonilla celebrated her 105th birthday, a beloved and admired resident of Los Valles. A farmer at heart, she was born and has always lived in this town, which today is proud to celebrate a life as long as it is full of lessons.
Together with her husband Manuel Peraza —also from Los Valles and who passed away at 101 years old— she formed a family marked by effort, simplicity, and the values of the countryside. Both, along with their six children, spent many years at the Manguia Ranch, where they cultivated the land, raised animals, and built, day by day, a legacy of work and affection that still remains alive in those who remember them.
Currently, Remedios is a symbol of strength and joy. At 105 years old, she remains an example of a firm spirit, willpower, and love for life. Her long journey inspires family, friends, and neighbors, who see her as a true treasure of the town.
Congratulations, Remedios! May she continue to accompany us with her smile, her experience, and her immense energy for many more years.
