The Canary Islands Government has declared a pre-alert for wind in Lanzarote this Saturday from 00.00 hours based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
The wind will blow moderate to strong from the east or southeast, with a probability of very strong gusts that may reach and exceed 60-70 kilometers per hour.
The pre-alert also extends to the islands of Fuerteventura, La Palma and Gran Canaria, while on the islands of El Hierro, La Gomera and Tenerife, the alerts will be orange and yellow, respectively. The gusts can reach 80-90 kilometers per hour and even 100 kilometers per hour locally in summits and midlands.
On Saturday, in addition to the wind, the skies will be covered with high clouds. Temperatures will be slightly rising, more pronounced in the minimums, which will be 16 degrees and the maximums 21.
For Sunday, the skies will be cloudy although clearings will open throughout the day. Temperatures will continue to rise slightly, with minimums between 18 and 19 degrees and maximums between 24 and 25 degrees. As for the wind, its strength will decrease although it will continue to blow with intensity.
