Pre-alert declared for coastal phenomena this Friday in Lanzarote

The General Directorate of Emergencies, based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), has declared the pre-alert for coastal phenomena from 12:00 on Friday in Lanzarote.

During this day, wind from the north and northwest is expected with force 5 to 6 (29 - 49 km/h), which will lead to waves between 2.5 and 3.5 meters high. On Saturday the bad sea conditions will continue, although it will improve slightly, with waves between 2 and 3 meters.

This situation will also affect the north and west coast of La Palma, El Hierro and Fuerteventura and the north coast of La Gomera, Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Also to the sea channel between Tenerife and La Gomera.
