The General Directorate of Emergencies has announced the entry into force of the pre-alert for coastal phenomena in Lanzarote starting at 8 in the morning this Tuesday based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
The scope that will be affected will be the north and west coast of El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote; and the northern coast of Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
The bad sea conditions are due to the northeast or east component wind force 2 - 3 (6 - 19 km/h) with local areas of force 4 (20 - 28 km/h). There will be rippled to choppy seas and northwest swell of 1.5 - 3.5 m. Finally, there will be combined sea waves on the coasts open to the north and west of 2.5 - 3.5 m.
Regarding the meteorological forecast, the skies will be partly cloudy with intervals of high clouds, tending to cloudy intervals of medium and high cloudiness in the second half of the day. Light haze is not ruled out in the second half of the day. The minimum temperatures will not experience changes or a slight increase and the maximum temperatures will experience a slight decrease.
