Orange warning in Lanzarote with the arrival of the first heat wave of the summer

Temperatures from that day could reach and exceed 36 degrees in some areas, especially in the south and interior of the island

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the orange warning for high temperatures from this Wednesday in Lanzarote and La Graciosa. In addition, there will be a presence of haze.

The orange warning will come into effect from 09.00 hours this Wednesday and will end at 20.00, with temperatures that may reach and exceed 36 degrees in some areas, especially in the south and interior of the island.

This warning of the same color will also affect Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria, while in the islands of Tenerife, La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma it will be yellow.

In addition, on Wednesday skies are expected to be slightly cloudy or clear in general, while the wind will blow weak from the northeast, with a predominance of breezes on the southeast coasts.
