Occasional rain and swell this weekend in Lanzarote

Aemet has activated the yellow warning for coastal phenomena on the island this Saturday

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts occasional rain and rough seas for this weekend in Lanzarote. In fact, the yellow warning has been activated on the island for coastal phenomena from 6:00 p.m. this Saturday and will continue throughout Sunday.

In addition, the Government of the Canary Islands has declared the pre-alert for this phenomenon, based on the Aemet forecast, on the north coast of La Gomera, Tenerife and Gran Canaria; the north and west coast of El Hierro, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote; and the west, north and northeast coast of La Palma. There will be rough seas with combined sea and waves between 3 and 5 meters high.

For Saturday, cloudy skies are expected, with some clearings at the beginning and end of the day. The precipitations will be occasional, especially in the north and west, and it is not ruled out that they will be in the form of showers. As for temperatures, they will experience some changes, with minimums of 15 and maximums between 18 and 21 degrees. The wind will blow moderately from the west, which will turn to the northwest from noon.

Regarding the day of Sunday, the skies will be cloudy although clearings will open throughout the day. Weak and scattered rains are likely, especially in the second half of the day. Temperatures will be similar, with minimums of 14 and maximums of 22. The wind will blow from light to moderate from the west.
