The residents of the town of Muñique are celebrating the "50th Anniversary of the Blessing of their church", choosing Our Lady of Fatima and San Isidro Labrador as their patrons. This Sunday at 12:00 noon they met again to participate in the celebration of the Eucharist, which was presided over by the parish priest of Tiagua, Rafael Tejera Parrilla. The songs with Canarian airs enlivened the celebration by a group of young people from Muñique led by the teacher and neighbor Vanessa Rijo.

In the Homily, the parish priest explained to the parishioners some passages of the life of San Isidro, highlighting that he was a very humble and hardworking man who lived in the 12th century, a life marked by dedication to God and to the land, making him an example of faith and hard work.

After the Eucharist, the residents of Muñique carrying the image of San Isidro took him in procession through the main street of the town accompanied by the celebrating priest, authorities and parishioners.

Upon returning to the church, the members of the Guanapay Folklore Group of La Villa de Teguise were waiting for them to present their offering wrapped in Canarian airs, the most representative of our music and dances such as folías, seguidillas, sias and malagueñas, an performance that was greatly applauded by all those present. Next, the image of San Isidro Labrador, amid applause, crossed the portico of the church.
