Maritime Rescue has rescued on Sunday night 104 people of Maghreb origin, including six women and one minor, who were on board two boats located in international waters, northeast of Lanzarote.
According to the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium, the first boat was located 55 kilometers from the island at around 8:30 p.m., with 60 occupants: 53 men, six women and one minor.
The second boat was intercepted at around 8:55 p.m. 68 kilometers northeast of Lanzarote, with 44 adult men on board.
The Guardamar Calíope has transferred them to the Commercial dock where they have been assisted by the Red Cross. The NGO has reported that two of the people have been transferred to Molina Orosa.
