Maritime Rescue rescues another boat northeast of Lanzarote

There are 39 people on board, seven women and 32 men, of Maghreb origin

The Salvamento Al Nair has rescued another boat, the second of the day, in international waters 28 miles northeast of Arrecife, according to the Emergency Consortium.

The rescue took place at 7.12 p.m. this Sunday. There were 39 rescued people on board, 32 men and 7 women, among them. All are of Maghreb origin and in apparent good health.

The Salvamar has transferred them to Puerto Naos where they have been attended to on land by the Red Cross.

This is the second boat that has been intercepted this Sunday in waters near Lanzarote. The first was rescued in the early hours of this Sunday and 49 migrants were travelling on it.
