Born in Lanzarote 22 years ago (1998), Margarita Gómez, better known as Margui, is a hit on the Internet with her videos with dances and messages of encouragement on the social network Tik Tok, reaching 3.5 million followers. And on Instagram and Youtube she has another 200,000 'followers'.
Margui was born with achondroplasia, the most frequent form of dwarfism. In an interview with Nius Diario, she says that she had a childhood marked by bullying and does not respond to those who criticize her for her physique. "I have suffered bullying since I was little, I spent my whole life alone and I didn't have friends at school. I don't care what they say, they even make me stronger".
"I'm not going to give the haters what they want. Some like my videos and others don't," says the young woman, who, although she was born in Lanzarote, has lived in Vigo for four years.
