With a packed house, the Santo Domingo convent in Teguise hosted the concert by the Tenerife group "Jóvenes Cantadores". This group, made up of about 30 members, burst onto the Canary Islands music scene in 2008. A true revelation in terms of innovation in the way they interpret both Canary Islands songs and those from the other side of the Atlantic.
Their carefully crafted voices are joined by well-tuned instruments, ensuring that in each of their concerts the public can enjoy a spectacle where rhythm and joy are maintained throughout the concert.
In 2009 they released their first album entitled "Homenaje a la Parranda", which includes the mythical song dedicated to Saharawi women, Sulema. A year later they surprised their fans again with another new album entitled "Cien por Cien", with twelve songs, including the famous song "La Noche en Arguineguin". Last Christmas they released their third work, "Mestizo", which includes some malagueñas from Lanzarote.
For this concert, Los Jóvenes Cantadores gave a review intermingling some of the songs they already have in their three record works. Among the public was the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, accompanied by some councilors from the government and opposition groups. Los Jóvenes Cantadores not only took the affection and applause of the public, but also a replica of Los Diabletes de Teguise.
