The Lanzarote with Palestine collective continues its actions to denounce the genocide perpetrated by the state of Israel against the populations of Gaza and the West Bank. While the echoes of the citizen demonstration on Sunday in Madrid, in which thousands of people, shouting Free Palestine, interrupted the Vuelta Ciclista a España, the group invites you to participate in a night march with candles that exhibits social rejection of the systematic murder of the civilian population of the strip.
The vigil will be held on Thursday, September 18, starting at 8:30 p.m., with the departure of the route, which will go through the center of Arrecife, from the Casa Amarilla, on Calle Real.
Since the war began, implacable, unfair and unequal, almost two years ago, Lanzarote with Palestine has shown its indignation at the neglect of the international community and the lukewarmness of the measures adopted, and has demanded a just and lasting peace for Palestine, with its recognition as a state and the return of the occupied territories.
“Fortunately, thanks to citizen action, the impact of the Global Sumud flotilla and the opposition to the participation in the Vuelta a España of a cycling team that flies the Israeli flag, among many others, both public opinion and governments have become aware of what the majority position is: the genocide must stop and Netanyahu and his people must receive the punishment that a crime against humanity deserves,” say the Lanzarote group.
