The Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Seville (Fibes) has been the venue for the National Road Accident Rescue Meeting, Enrat 2023, held between June 6 and 9.
Among the 22 teams of firefighters from all over the country participating, one from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, proclaimed runner-up in Spain after three days of intense activity, maneuvers and competition.
The jury positively valued the technical, command and sanitary control skills of the team formed by Nestor Crespo Rodríguez, Acaymo Rodríguez Quintero, Rubén Gerra Morales Roberto Betancort Corujo, Jone Chedey Martín Fernández and Chedey Rodríguez Quintero who shared the podium with the winning team, Cataluña, and the third classified, Valencia.
Thus, the representative team from Lanzarote was in first place in the technical section, second in command skills and third in rapid maneuver, which made them worthy of the runner-up in the general classification of the national meeting.
For the president of the Consortium, Marcos Bergaz, “this runner-up is a new demonstration of the preparation and dedication of the fire department to the safety of all. Therefore, our congratulations for the recognition obtained and their daily work.”
For his part, the Manager of the Consortium, Enrique Espinosa, wanted to underline “the dedication of the team, which trains and competes in their free time, as part of the preparation to attend any incident, in the case of a traffic accident with people trapped inside the vehicle.”
Finally, the Lanzarote expedition recalls that this year Lanzarote will host the world accident rescue meeting, which will take place next October.
