The passage of storm Joseph across the peninsula has forced the establishment of different levels of yellow and orange alerts for waves, rain, wind, snow, and thawing for this Tuesday. However, the meteorological reality in the Canary Islands will be different.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has excluded the Canary Islands from adverse weather warnings, as they are spared the passage of Storm Joseph after a series of storms throughout the winter. Despite this, a yellow alert for rough seas is forecast for Wednesday and Thursday along the entire coast of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

The probability of it occurring is over 70%, with waves between four and five meters high. This phenomenon could occur between 6:00 AM this Wednesday and 12:00 PM this Thursday, when a combined northwest sea is expected.

For Wednesday, cloudy skies will also settle over the island on the western slope, with intervals in other areas. At this point, weak and occasional precipitation cannot be ruled out during the morning and central hours of the day. Minimum temperatures will be slightly rising and maximums, with little change, will range between 16 and 23 degreesFor this Thursday, weak and occasional precipitation is also not ruled out in the eastern islands, with cloudy intervalsThus, the wind will initially be moderate from the southwest, shifting to northwest, between light and moderate, from Wednesday afternoon. Meanwhile, the wind will be light from the north, which on peaks will shift to northeast in the late hours of the day and breezes on the coasts
