Lanzarote adds another 8 positive cases of Covid and reports 14 discharges

The active cases of coronavirus on the island have decreased this Wednesday to 114, six less than the previous day

Lanzarote has added another 8 positive cases of Covid-19 in the last day, although 14 discharges have also been reported. Thus, the active cases have decreased to 114, which is six less than the previous day.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, 308 Covid tests were carried out on the island this Tuesday, about 80 more than on Monday.

Regarding the accumulated incidence, it has decreased both at seven and fourteen days. Specifically, at seven days it has fallen by six and a half points, standing at 40.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while at 14 days it has decreased to 87.9 cases, about five points less.

The total number of accumulated cases in Lanzarote now amounts to 4,990, of which 48 died and 4,828 have overcome the disease. Of the active cases, until this Wednesday morning there were five patients admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital, one more than the previous day. Of these, three were in the ICU and two on the ward.
