The Lanzarote Classical Orchestra, complying with the concerts scheduled for the IV Arrecife Classical Concert Cycle, staged the musical-theatrical show last Saturday at the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz: CEFEO 2056: SAVING THE EARTH.

This awareness-raising show for the little ones about the importance of caring for planet Earth and the importance of recycling to continue living on it was created by the Lanzarote Classical Orchestra. With a script and direction by Roberto Fuentes, well-known amateur actors from the island formed this theatrical cast.

Gabriel Tamba in the role of Tegra K1, the robot who piloted the Andromeda ship that would take the children who did not know how to recycle to the Cefeo Galaxy. Alby Robayna entered the scene as a car factory worker willing to demonstrate that many children do know how to recycle and the fault therefore lies with many of the adults. General Motorola was represented by José Ríos, he is in charge of the expedition and acts as a judge in this humorous framework, assisted by Commander Samsung who tries to repair a ship that is powered by recycled material. Finally, the managers of the factory, Mrs. Mitsubishi and Toyota, a role carried out by Rosi Robaina and Manoli Fernández respectively, will enter the scene downplaying recycling. The children were the ones who finally saved the situation and the show ended with the capture of these two ladies who would be sent to Cefeo to learn to recycle and some of the children there transplanted a tree that will go in one of the gardens of the Arrecife park.

The orchestra was made up of the mechanics of the Andromeda Ship, Ivanoff Rodríguez on keyboards and directing, Manuel Becerra on drums, José Juis Rodríguez on guitar and clarinetist and voice, Ana Esther Gil.

The next appointment will be on Friday, June 27 at 8:30 p.m. at the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz with the show "MoltoCantabile", Tribute to Bel Canto. Free admission until full capacity.
