La Santa experienced a real spectacle this Friday morning. "After sailing for several days 100 miles off the East Coast of the United States, Hurricane Epsilon generated giant and clean waves on the NW coasts of Lanzarote," explains Sergio "el Halcón" (the Hawk), one of the first surfers on the island.

Sergio explains that the SE wind, coming from the African continent, blew all Friday morning on the coast of La Santa, generating what the compact group of surfers such as Manuel Lezcano, Vilayta, Alex Zirke, El Palmero, Monchi, Acaymo and Albert support pilot "were prepared to receive after several years of preparation and consecration."
According to what could be seen, waves exceeding 15 meters in height were produced that broke mercilessly in the "outer reef", La Misteriosa. "Tubes where trucks could fit" were the goal of the brave surfers.
"Great takeoffs, great barrels and a whole reward for having worked as a team," Sergio concluded.
