The 17-year-old girl who was run over last Monday, November 22, and who had to be transferred to Gran Canaria, is improving her health after a week in the Doctor Negrín Hospital, where she is still hospitalized, as reported by the mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez.
"We have the pleasant news that, despite that tragic accident, the girl is recovering and seems to be on the right track," Pérez said on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero.
The accident took place at the intersection of the industrial area of Playa Honda at around 9:30 p.m., when a vehicle coming from Arrecife ran over the girl, causing her serious multiple injuries. The driver of the vehicle tested negative for alcohol and drugs by the Local Police of San Bartolomé.
