Music was the main protagonist this Saturday at Colegio Arenas Internacional. Its XXX Olympics kicked off with a staging that transformed the center's facilities into a journey through the history of sounds that have accompanied humanity since its origins.

Under the motto Symphony of Generations, the students participated in a gala that traveled through different musical eras and styles to show how music has always been a form of communication, expression, and meeting among people.

From sounds inspired by nature to classical compositions, modern rhythms, and new musical trends, the show combined dance, gymnastics, theater, and choreography in a proposal that highlighted the universal power of music to unite generations.

Families, teachers, and authorities accompanied the students on a particularly significant day for the educational community, as it coincides with the 40th anniversary of Colegio Arenas Internacional, four decades marked by the education of thousands of young people in Lanzarote.

The event was attended by the mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque Pérez; the councilor of the Teguise City Council, María Mar Boronat Mas; and the president of the Arenas Schools, Alberto Rodríguez, among other institutional representatives. The ceremony was presented by the center's director, José Paz Botana, and the inaugural speech was given by Ramona Muñoz Casas, mother of a student at the school, who offered an emotional speech in which she valued the human and academic education offered by Colegio Arenas Internacional.

One of the most symbolic moments was once again the entrance of the Olympic Torch and the lighting of the cauldron by the 2nd year ESO student Antonio Pérez Romaguera.

After the inauguration, the celebration continued with a commemorative toast in which families and members of the educational community participated, and where DJ Adrián González, a former student of the center, enlivened the gathering.

With this new Olympic edition, Colegio Arenas Internacional once again turns sport, art, and coexistence into a great shared experience, demonstrating that, just as with music, the values learned at school endure and accompany people throughout their lives.
