Lanzarote will be the stage for the launch of Fuel Fandango, who will present their new self-titled album, "Fuel Fandango," to the island's public. Led by Lanzarote musician and producer Alejandro Acosta and Cordoban singer Nita, the group will present the 13 songs contained in this new record in a live concert that will take place this Thursday, June 2, at 9:00 p.m. at the San Bartolomé Theater.
After more than 70 concerts and 15,000 downloads on their website of their first EP, Ale Acosta and Nita present this album, with 13 songs with traces of funk, rock, electronica, and touches of flamenco, which, sifted through the duo's particular talent, end up generating their own personal language.
Fuel Fandango is the new project of Ale Acosta, producer and DJ who already surprised with his previous group Mojo Project, with which he published three albums. His work includes productions, mixes, and remixes for artists such as Enrique Morente, Buika, Chambao, Muchachito, El Bicho, and The PinkerTones, among others. He has two nominations for the Los Premios de la Música España 08 and a nomination for "Producer of the Year" at the Latin Grammy 08.
The other half of Fuel Fandango is Nita, a young singer from Cordoba but with a lot of experience behind her, who started her career from a very young age singing copla and flamenco until her subsequent soul, funk, and electronic projects.
Fuel Fandango grows live, where Nita and Ale are supported by the steamroller Carlos Sosa on drums, a trio with a very rock attitude ready to offer the most danceable version of their repertoire, and who transform into pure fire on stage.
With their first EP, they toured more than 70 cities (including a successful visit to London) and hung the sold-out sign in several cities.
This concert is organized by the Education and Culture Area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the Government of the Canary Islands through Canarias Cultura en Red and has the collaboration of the San Bartolomé City Council. Tickets cost 10 euros and can be purchased in the Education and Culture area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and in the Culture department of the San Bartolomé City Council, in the Casa Ajei.
