Maritime Rescue has rescued 180 people tonight, including at least 15 minors and 19 women, one of them pregnant, in four inflatable boats located southeast of Lanzarote, according to sources from the island's Emergency Consortium. The occupants are of sub-Saharan and Maghrebi origin.

The first boat received assistance from the Salvamar Al Nair at around 8:23 p.m. about 20 kilometers from the coast. It was transporting 49 people of Maghrebi origin: 44 men, four women and one minor.

The second was located by the same Salvamar as it was heading back to the port of Arrecife, about 38 kilometers from land.

Its occupants are 57 people of sub-Saharan origin. According to the first count, there are 55 men and two women.

The last two boats, where 74 people were traveling, have been located in the early morning and transferred to the Commercial dock.

The only pregnant woman and two men have been transferred to the hospital. The rest of the people are in good health.
