The American film director Ron Howard has visited Lanzarote in recent days and has posted some snapshots of his visit on Twitter. In addition, the filmmaker, who won an Oscar for directing "A Beautiful Mind," has also visited La Gomera, in whose waters he intends to film the movie "In the Heart of the Sea", a version of the classic Moby Dick, starting in October.

On Twitter, the filmmaker posted a photo of volcanic Lanzarote, as well as the evening of entertainment at the hotel where he stayed, according to his account @RealRonHoward. You can also see on his profile his visit to La Gomera and a snapshot of the ferry trip to Tenerife to go to the airport.

Ron Howard had already been to the Canary Islands, where he traveled in May to scout locations for his film. The Oscar winner has directed such well-known films as "Willow", "Apollo 13", "Cinderella Man", "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels & Demons".
