Thus, as explained by the Councilor of the area, Aroa Pérez, the City Council has installed this Tuesday morning a table "of awareness and information on equality and existing resources for women" in the Town Hall Square of Tías. In addition, at 12:00 a manifesto has been read and violet ribbons have been distributed "in favor of equal opportunities between men and women".
Also, on Wednesday, March 9, the El Fondeadero Civic Center of Puerto del Carmen will host the opening of the exhibition "Don't turn your back on them", by the author Manuel Fuentes Moreno, which includes 25 photographs of working women from around the world. After the opening of this exhibition, which will take place at 8:00 p.m., the Marina de Puerto del Carmen Choir will perform and there will be a poetry recital by Juana González Rodríguez.
On the other hand, the Amar y Criar Association has also organized a free talk under the title "How to help mothers", which will take place this Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., in the building on Bajamar street in Puerto del Carmen.
