A multitude of neighbors, together with family members, representatives of the political, business and social class of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, said this Tuesday their last goodbye to the mayor of San Bartolomé, who died this Monday at 39 years of age.
The coffin of the mayor has left the Municipal Theater, where the burning chapel was installed since Monday night, at 4:15 p.m. to arrive at the church where the funeral was held, a few meters away.
Among those attending the funeral were the president of the Canary Islands Government, Ángel Víctor Torres, the president of the Cabildo, Loly Corujo, different mayors of the island and the executive of the FECAM. In addition, the entire Corporation of San Bartolomé has been present, his government colleagues have accompanied him at all times.
