The Association for the Defense of the Mental Patient of Lanzarote El Cribo presented this Thursday the events that will be carried out on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, which this year will have the motto 'Connect with Life' and will deal with suicide prevention.
The event was attended by the president of the Association, Jesús María Fernández, the advisor and founder of the same, Julio Santiago, and Marco Antonio Perera, user of the Design workshop and author of the poster announcing the Gala Lunch that will be held on Sunday, October 6, at 1:30 p.m., in the Monumento al Campesino restaurant. The price of the ticket is 30 euros and can be purchased at the El Cribo headquarters, located on Gobernador García Hernández street in Arrecife, in the Valterra neighborhood.
According to the president of El Cribo, Jesús María Fernández, the Gala Lunch is not only intended to raise funds, but also to convey the message that people with mental illness also exist and we must all ensure a dignified and normalized life for them.
As in previous years, the Gala Lunch will feature musical performances by the Taboire group and the El Cribo Canta Choir directed by Arnold Bonilla. There will also be several raffles with important gifts, which have been donated by the commercial houses involved with the cause.
