 The chief inspector of the National Police of Arrecife, Eduardo Rolo Corchero, passed away this Wednesday at the University Hospital of Lanzarote Doctor José Molina Orosa. The police officer had been admitted to the health center for several days.

The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, has expressed his condolences for the death of the police inspector, of whom he highlighted that "in life he was an outstanding public servant and inspector who watched over the safety and protection of Arrecife."

"On behalf of the Municipal Corporation of the Arrecife City Council, the Arrecife Local Police, and in my own name, I extend my condolences and heartfelt sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues of the National Police Force. His death has been deeply felt throughout the police force and in our city."

Last October, recalls the capital's mayor, he received the Cross of Police Merit with a white badge and was still active
