Daily cases have registered a new peak in Lanzarote, where 13 positive cases of Covid-19 have been reported this Tuesday. Thus, although 11 discharges have also been registered in the last 24 hours, the active cases on the island have risen to 86.

The data coincides with an increase in the tests carried out. This Monday, about 260 were done, according to data from the Ministry of Health, which is almost double the previous day. As for the previous days, about 200 were being done on average.

However, the Health website indicates that of the 259 tests carried out this Monday, ten were positive, so the other three could correspond to tests carried out in private laboratories or to positives detected in previous days and not reported until now.

The new data places the accumulated incidence in Lanzarote at 32.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 7 days and 61 in 14 days. In both indicators, an increase is recorded.

In total, 4,584 cases of Covid-19 have been diagnosed in Lanzarote since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 4,452 have overcome the disease and 47 have died. The last death was recorded on Monday night to Tuesday, although it has not yet been counted on the Health website.
