Covid cases skyrocket: Lanzarote adds 40 positives in one day

The island has registered this Thursday its worst data since the third wave of a year ago

Daily cases of Covid have once again suffered a sharp rebound in Lanzarote, which has added 40 positives in a single day. The island had not recorded such a figure for almost a year, when it was immersed in the third wave, which was the one that left the most infections.

Even so, the active cases have been slightly reduced and are this Thursday at 198, since in the last hours 47 discharges have also been reported.

The accumulated incidence stands at 104 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 7 days, with an increase of six points compared to the previous day, and 179.1 in 14 days. Regarding the tests carried out on the island, they amounted to 523 on Wednesday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 7,723 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Lanzarote, of which 7,472 have already overcome the disease and 54 have died.
