The Comisiones Obreras (CCOO) union has reported that after several meetings with Arrecife Bus due to the situation of its workers, the company has agreed to carry out an expansion of the workforce and the vehicle fleet.

The union organization has detailed that the bus company has committed to carry out a new hiring process and that it will add two new vehicles "as a matter of urgency" plus two more, which, as they have pointed out, will be included "during the first quarter of this year."

However, CCOO has stated that, despite these measures, labor problems continue to exist "motivated by the lack of personnel, outdated schedules and the lack of fleet", so they will continue to demand the adaptation of public transport to the reality of Lanzarote.

In this sense, they have advanced that they could even go "to take other measures of greater union impact", if the "disastrous" situation experienced by employees is not taken into account.
