Justin Bieber has not become a neighbor of Lanzarote. The well-known singer has not spent 5 million euros on a luxurious house located on the island. He hasn't even asked about it. This is what the Michael Peters Estates agency assures, thus denying the statement released this Wednesday by the Proto Group real estate group, which has been echoed by the main media throughout Spain and even some international ones.

"We will have to warn the owners that they have sold the house and only have to come and collect their 5 million," they ironically say from the real estate agency that operates in Lanzarote and that, in fact, still has this house for sale. The advertisement can be seen on the website of this agency and the price is also very different from the public fact by Proto Group. And it is that this company assured that Bieber had paid 5 million euros for the house. However, the owners are asking for 1.5 million euros for it, that is, less than a third.

"It has not been sold. I wish, and I wish at that price," says this real estate agent. According to Proto Group, the owners were asking for 4.2 million but the singer paid 5, because "he wanted the property at all costs." "It's a lie, they've done it several times already. The client is going to be Obama and then Putin comes, and Messi is already here... It's a 'fake'," says this real estate worker.

As he explains, the house belongs to a German couple and has been "for sale for more than a year." After learning about the news released by Proto Group, he contacted them and says that they received the news of their supposed millionaire sale with "a laugh." Thus, they have decided to take it with humor and have no intention of taking action in this regard. "What they want is to sell the house and that's it," they explain from the agency that is in charge of that sale.

"People who invent things to get publicity"

As he explains, the images that Proto Group sent along with the information of the alleged sale were actually commissioned by the owners of this villa to a professional photographer and assumes that they were "copied" from the Michael Peters Estates website to "invent their story." The rest of the details they offered, however, "do not match." Although the plot does measure 2,000 square meters, the villa actually has a constructed area of 346 meters, it does not have 6 rooms, but 4, and it does not have 5 bathrooms, but 4.

As he explains, there are two agencies on the island that are trying to sell this house, Michael Peters and another company, but neither of them has any "link" with Proto Group. "I don't know who they are. Supposedly it is a page with an Italian administrator, but I don't know where it is, or if it is here on the island. I imagine they are people who invent things to get publicity," he says. In fact, the same group has announced on other occasions purchases of homes by various celebrities who have later denied the information. In the case of Cristiano Ronaldo, he even took legal action against them.

According to the Michael Peters Estates agency, similar situations have also occurred in Lanzarote "several times" and "not only with this company." Among the names to which he remembers that they have attributed the purchase of properties on the island, he mentions the Barcelona player Lionel Messi, the Hollywood actor Leonardo Di Caprio and the Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso. In any case, he reiterates that Justin Bieber has not bought the villa in Las Breñas. "There are clients interested in the house, but it is not anyone from this environment nor is it this person." About whether the singer has been interested, he replies: "No, zero. If it were so, I wouldn't say it either...but this is not the case." Thus, he assures that those interested are "normal, ordinary people; and none famous."
