A spectacular sunset and a fireworks display welcomed the triumphant entry of the Three Wise Men of the East to the municipality of Tías yesterday afternoon. As never before remembered, avenues and streets crowded with public in the center of Tías accompanied the parade of groups, television characters, several floats and the camels that transported to Tías Their Majesties The Three Wise Men.

The Department of Festivities of the City Council of Tías, under the direction of the councilor Francisco Javier Aparicio Betancort, organized yesterday afternoon a spectacular and lively parade of Kings in the center of Tías to receive the arrival in Lanzarote of Baltasar, Melchor and Gaspar. After strolling through the center of Tías and receiving letters from thousands of children, the Three Wise Men continued their journey last night to La Tiñosa where hundreds of children were waiting for them in the Plaza de El Varadero, in Puerto del Carmen, to celebrate the arrival of Their Majesties the Kings of the East.

A retinue formed by several camels, decorated floats, Disney characters and successful children's TV series, and numerous extras accompanied yesterday afternoon, under a reddish sky full of fireworks with stars, the arrival to the urban center of Tías of Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar during their tour of Tías and the tourist town of Puerto del Carmen. The parade was animated by the Charanga Los Gruñones de Tías, in its opening, and the rhythmic sounds of the batucada, where the Three Wise Men distributed more than a thousand kilograms of candies in both parades, organized by the City Council of Tías.

Yesterday Saturday, January 5, the eve of the Epiphany, shortly after 6:00 p.m., the Central Avenue of Tías, like Calle Libertad, was crowded with numerous public to witness this parade where Their Majesties the Three Wise Men of the East were received by the mayor of Tías, Pancho Hernández. The Councilor for Festivities, Francisco Javier Aparicio, dressed as a page, accompanied the retinue of the royal envoys from the East throughout the journey. The main parade of Tías toured the new Central Avenue and the streets Libertad and Luchada, towards the Municipal Sports Center of Tías where the City Council of Tías programmed, with lively children's attractions, the stopover of Their Majesties for the reception and delivery of the letters by the thousands of boys and girls who wanted to see Baltasar, Melchor and Gaspar up close as they passed through Tías.

Later, shortly after 7:30 p.m., the parade moved to La Tiñosa where Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar began their journey on Teide street towards the Plaza de El Varadero, where they met with the little ones to collect their letters. Later, the retinue continued, already at night, its journey along the Avenida de Las Playas of Puerto del Carmen throughout last night, Saturday.

The organization of the Cavalcade of Kings, through the Festivities Area of the City Council of Tías, had the collaboration of the Civil Protection forces of Tías and the agents of the Local Police, which allowed the numerous public attending to enjoy a colorful, lively and light parade of Kings.
