The Department of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Road Infrastructure, headed by Rosana Melián, reports that on April 13, 14 and 15, several traffic cuts will be made on the LZ-2, near Playa Honda, to continue with the execution works of the new underpass.
These traffic cuts, near PK 2+500, will be carried out at night, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next day, in order to minimize the impact on road users.
On the nights of April 13 and 14, the road will be closed southbound (towards the airport). On the night of April 14, the closure will affect the northbound direction (towards Arrecife), and on the night of April 15, only the outer lane of the northbound road will be closed.
During this period, traffic will be diverted through the existing service roads in the area of the Playa Honda junction, which run parallel to the LZ-2.
The General Directorate of Road Infrastructure asks drivers to take extreme precautions to avoid accidents and pay attention to road signs.
