The city of Arrecife experienced this weekend the first edition of the Arrecife Entrepreneurship Fair, which closed this Saturday with a "resounding success in participation", according to the City Council.

“This Entrepreneurship Fair has arrived in the capital to be one of the fixed events, since it is a good way for entrepreneurs to show the world their new business model”, says the mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, who visited the Parque Los Luchadores de Altavista on both days.

Hundreds of people passed through the Altavista neighborhood during the weekend and were able to visit the twenty stands of entrepreneurs, as well as a round table, two presentations by entrepreneurs and different activities and concerts.

“Thanks to all the entrepreneurs who decided to participate in this Fair, being fundamental pieces for it to be held”, points out the Councilor for Employment, Saro González, who emphasizes the commitment of the Arrecife City Council to collaborate and help, through the Local Development Agency, with people who want to start a new business.

On Friday, a round table discussion took place under the theme “Entrepreneurship in Lanzarote”, in which entrepreneurs, the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, the Lanzarote Business Conference, the Lanzarote Tourism Federation and the Lanzarote School of Tourism participated.

The Parque Los Luchadores also hosted two presentations by two entrepreneurs on Friday. The first of these was called “Mom, Dad, I want to be an artist”, by the young musician and entrepreneur, Ubay Alemán; while the second, entitled “Impact benefits for entrepreneurs”, was given by Miguel Ángel Guisando.

Saturday morning was full of rhythm and joy, first with the celebration of a Zumba class at 10:00 a.m., and then with the concerts of the groups Los Lola and Inerxia, who made all the attendees dance.

While the concerts are held, the Parque Los Luchadores hosted a children's play center, where the little ones enjoyed two interactive workshops. In addition, adults also had their space in the tents of the I Entrepreneurship Fair, with two workshops for adults taught by entrepreneurs from Arrecife.

“The I Entrepreneurship Fair has been an original and unique event on the island, so I am sure that in the next edition the reception and follow-up will be much greater”, concludes the mayor, Astrid Pérez.
