Lanzarote adds this Friday a new death related to the coronavirus, so there are now 76 since the pandemic began, four of them in this month of August. In addition, it is the second death recorded this week, after on Tuesday another person admitted to the hospital center was reported.
In the global computation of the archipelago, in the last three days there have been another six deaths, of which four are in Tenerife and two in Gran Canaria. All were between 61 and 89 years old, had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
Also, since last Tuesday, the Canary Islands has added 306 new positives in Covid-19 among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.
Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group in the Canary Islands amounts to 95,016 people. Thus, the Accumulated Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 343.22 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 146.57.
Currently, in the archipelago there are 127 people admitted to hospital for coronavirus, of which nine are in the ICU and the rest, 118, are on the ward.
