A new boat with 52 people on board was intercepted by Maritime Rescue on the afternoon of this Sunday, October 30, as reported by the Emergency Consortium. The occupants were all men and of Maghreb origin.
They were transferred to the Commercial pier of the capital of Lanzarote where the Red Cross assisted them. They were all in good health, so no transfer to a medical center was necessary.
In total, three boats and 131 people have arrived this weekend on the coasts of Lanzarote.
