A new boat has been intercepted on Wednesday night near the coasts of Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium. The rescue took place around 8:30 p.m. in international waters, 12.5 miles northeast of the island.
About 32 people of Maghreb origin, all males and in apparent good health, could be traveling in the boat.
Maritime Rescue transfers the occupants of the boat to the Commercial dock where they will be attended to on land by the Red Cross.
