Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa informs that all desalination plants are now back in production after the energy blackout registered early this morning, which represents significant progress in the recovery of the supply system.

The water produced has already begun to reach the main storage tanks. However, the recovery of production does not yet imply the complete normalization of the system, as it is necessary for the tanks to recover sufficient levels before progressively resuming the different pumpings and reversing the maneuvers carried out during the incident.

Restoration begins in Arrecife

In Arrecife, the restoration of the supply is now beginning. The recovery will be progressive as the networks recharge and reach adequate pressure levels.

During this process, drops in pressure, occasional lack of water, or some irregularity in the supply may occur initially, until the network is stabilized.

In the rest of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, some of the disruptions and maneuvers carried out to preserve reserves are still in place. These will be gradually removed as storage levels increase and it is possible to recover the different sectors with guarantees.

Although the recovery of production represents significant progress, the system is not yet completely normalized, so incidents may continue to occur in the coming hours in different locations.

The teams of Aguas de Lanzarote and La Graciosa are monitoring the evolution of the tanks, pumpings, and networks and will continue working until the complete normalization of the system is achieved.

Aguas de Lanzarote has thanked the public for their understanding and cooperation during this incident and recommends continuing to make responsible use of water while reserves and supply are fully recovered in Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
