Lanzarote has joined the gatherings across the country for the right to housing. Specifically, on the island, a mobilization has been called for this Sunday, October 4, between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
These types of gatherings have been scheduled throughout the weekend across the country, after this past Friday the PP, Vox, and Junts rejected in the Congress of Deputies the housing decrees approved by the Government of Spain, formed by PSOE and Sumar.
The gathering will take place in Arrecife, in front of the Cabildo Viejo, also known as the Casa Amarilla, to demand solutions for the housing situation in Lanzarote, where rental and housing prices continue to rise.
The citizen gathering demands that public institutions fulfill their constitutional obligation to take real measures to guarantee access to decent housing for all citizens.
